Próxima Estação: Um arquivo para a migração

A exposição vai aí estar patente entre dia 3 de Novembro e 20 de Novembro, naquela que será a última oportunidade de ver esta exposição itinerante, que vai agora para o seu terceiro e último espaço.A exposição apresenta fragmentos de alguns dos diários recolhidos no âmbito do projeto “Diários de Migrantes”, uma iniciativa da associação Arquivo dos Diários no âmbito do POR Lisboa 2020, financiado pelo Fundo Social Europeu e pela CM Lisboa em colaboração com a Rede DLBC Lisboa, que procurou, através da recolha de cerca de 40 diários pessoais de migrantes, inscrever na história e na atualidade quotidiana da cidade a experiência migratória por que diversas comunidades e habitantes passaram. Tem curadoria de Marta Almeida Santos.

“Próxima Estação: Um Arquivo para a migração” não é um registo sistematizado de ciclos de migração, de tendências ou tensões sociais. Não conta uma história uniforme e linear. É uma deambulação pelo que nos move e o que nos prende, uma incursão ao desconhecido e ao novo.

On November 3rd at 6pm the exhibition “Próxima Estação: Um arquivo para a migração” opens at Curious Monkey.

The exhibition will be on show there between November 3rd and November 20th, in what will be the last opportunity to see this travelling exhibition, which is now going to its third and last venue. The exhibition presents fragments of some of the diaries collected under the project “Diaries of Migrants”, an initiative of the association Arquivo dos Diários under the POR Lisboa 2020, funded by the European Social Fund and the Lisbon City Council in collaboration with the DLBC Lisbon Network, which sought, through the collection of about 40 personal diaries of migrants, to inscribe in the history and daily actuality of the city the migratory experience that various communities and inhabitants went through. It is curated by Marta Almeida Santos.

“Next Station: An Archive for Migration” is not a systematized record of migration cycles, trends or social tensions. It does not tell a uniform and linear story. It is a wandering through what moves us and what binds us, an incursion into the unknown and the new.
